March 3, 2005 Entry 99

The record is coming along wonderfully. I'm working on two discs simultaneously, the Twilight's Moon "Greatest Hits" (yet untitled) album. Also, I'm working on my debut album as "Brian Larsen." I know it sounds a little weird, but it allows me a greater creativity.
March 22, 2005, marks the release of my first new single since "1,000 Other Things," which was over 14 months ago. On that same date, we will be releasing a new trance single to radio. Both songs are, as of yet, untitled.
Next week I will be working with some artists (no names yet) on charity efforts that could result in a charity album to benefit the innocent victims of the Tsunami. My heart goes out to all of the victims and their families. May God be with them and the tireless heroes who have been working since December 26, 2004 to try to find survivors, and now, bodies. I feel that a portion of the innocence of the world was destroyed by this unspeakable disaster.
I will be in touch very soon with more information about the single, etc.
I love you all.
-Brian

January 11, 2005 Entry 98

Wow, another year is upon us.
I have been busy in the studio working on my debut solo album, the self-titled "Brian Larsen." In addition, the new album from Twilight's Moon, "RunDown," will be out in April, and the summer will also see the release of Twilight's Moon's "Greatest Hits" album.

As if that weren't enough, I'll be touring in the summer of 2005. And, for a new year, I have a new life. I've split with my girlfriend (and am on the lookout for a new love... see my interview in Rok Magazine, "How to win the heart of the Last Romantic"!), and have a totally new look, among other things. Some, you'll just have to find out on your own!

Anyway, I will write soon and let you know how recording is going (with video), and will post pics from a new photo-session and upcoming music video.

I was so sorry to hear about the awful Tsunami that has killed hundreds of thousands, and I will continue to donate my time and resources to relief efforts. Hari Om.

I love you all. Well, most of you, anyway.

November 25, 2004 Entry 97

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful time.
I want to take a moment to solemnly remember the passing of Sri George Harrison. Chaina bhitara amana, bhakta eka. November 29 marks three years since his disappearance.
Have a great holiday. To all those that I've loved and lost, I miss you and am Thankful for your previous involvement in my life. Lindsey, my ex-fiancee, Kelly, everyone. I miss you.

November 16, 2004 Entry 96

Wow, things couldn't possibly get any crazier.
I've read all kinds of distortions in the press about me in the last few days. For the record: Yes, I was hospitalized. For the record: No, I am not a drug addict. I will be making a syndicated press statement tomorrow, so things will hopefully be cleared up at that point, but who knows? This has been more insane than I could've ever imagined. Actually, with everything that has happened, this has been the craziest week of my life.

It is true that I broke up with my girlfriend, which has been the cause of a great deal of personal struggle for me. Those things happen...
Anyway, onward and upward!
-Brian

October 20, 2004 Entry 95

Hello everyone!
Wow, what a busy few weeks! OK, so the book it out, and it is selling very well! I've been recording still, and also taking time to promote the book and all of my other projects. It looks like the long awaited "Last of the Romantics" album will be coming out March 28, 2005. This will be Twilight's Moon's first full length album since 2003's "Broken Windows." Look for it to feature many tracks and a few surprises as well. Also, I plan to release three singles over the next five months to raise hype about the album.
"XXX2: State of the Union" will be released in April, 2005. I will give more information when it goes public.
Also, I will be doing 100 paintings over the next year, and will be donating a portion of the sales proceeds to charity. The theme of my abstract works will be "emotion."
Anyway, I will be in touch!
Love,
-Brian

Ok, a couple of quick things that are amazing:
The book that I have been talking about for nearly two years is FINALLY out!!! It's called Twilight's Moon: In Words. Writings 2001-2004. Get your copy now! The book is an excellent collection of songs, both released and unreleased, with my comments on those songs. It's something that really means a lot to me. Also, my new store has been opened up here. There are some very cool products!

Anyway, have a wonderful week... I'll write again soon.
Love,
-Brian

September 28, 2004 Entry 93

Wow, what a crazy life I lead!
I have been working my ass off, non-stop, leading a triple life.
1. I've been shooting my scenes for the movie "XXX2: State of the Union"
2. I've been recording songs for my upcoming album, "The Last of the Romantics."
3. I've been rehearsing for the Fall/Winter 2004 tour (unnamed as of now).

It's a lot of shit to keep up with, and I have definitely been neglecting taking time to myself, but that's OK. I have never felt so creatively active in my entire life! Anyway, that's all. I will be uploading an mp3 of a new song (as well as one re-recorded song). Anyway, I'll keep in touch!

Love,
-Brian

September 8, 2004 Entry 92

What a short summer...
Recording for "LOTR" is underway and should be finished by mid-fall. I'm on the cover of this week's "Laurel Leader" with a wonderful full-page article and photo. Also, I will be doing a series of Charity concerts in the fall. I'll post ticket info as soon as it's given to my management.
I've been actively writing, recording, and painting, and look for interviews in Gloss, Billboard, ICE, and tons of other magazines. It's going to be a crazy fall!
I will write again ASAP with information about the charity concerts. Keep those orders for the "Mind Candy" single coming... I really appreciate your support and dedication.

Love,
-Brian

July 19, 2004 Entry 91

Hey... sorry for my long absence!
I'm at my friend's house relaxing after spending the day with her, my brother, and my sister-in-law. It's been a fun summer of recording and relaxing. Thanks for making the "Mind Candy" single my best selling ever, and for supporting the upcoming "Last of the Romantics" album (heretofor represented as "LOTR," not to be confused with "Lord of the Rings.")
I've been on the promotional circuit working nonstop at doing interviews with magazines and newspapers throughout the country, from the local level (throughout Maryland) to the international (doing an interview with an e-zine in Japan, several in Holland and other countries, etc. I did an interview a few weeks ago with Gloss magazine, I'm doing a cover story tomorrow with a newspaper from Maryland. It's exciting stuff, I should think.
I've been working with all of that stuff and trying to adjust to having some time off, you know? It's a balance, trying to retain your privacy while still trying to eject yourself in the public eye. Rest assured, when I am ready to release "The Last of the Romantics" this fall (July 27 just wasn't feasible), then I will be right back into full on, unrated promo mode.
For now, to get your fill of my personal life you're going to have to check out any one of the many articles that I'm in. I'm going to try to coordinate to have someone transcribe them all so that you can view them (and the pictures) online.
Anyway, that's all for now. I can't believe it's been three months since I've written, and we're coming up on the FIFTH anniversary of the release of "Slope." Scary.

The closing news that I can offer for you right now is regarding the TM2K5 campaign, which will be nationwide. Basically, it has to do with the fact that Twilight's Moon was formed in 1995 and is my 10th anniversary, etc. You get the fucking point.
Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your month. I'll try to write before I leave for South Carolina. Maybe I'll catch some more of you at gas stations throughout 295!

Love always,
-Brian

June 21, 2004 Edition 2, Entry 93

The "Mind Candy" single is out on June 22 and is shipping to radio stations nationwide!
You can by the EP (featuring "Mind Candy" b/w "Kelly" and 5 original istrumentals) for just $4! Buy your copy in the store! I'll write more soon... it's very busy with the promo for the single!
June 14, 2004 Edition 2, Entry 92

Sorry I haven't written!
This has been an exciting few weeks... I have been holed-up in the studio slaving away at new material (you know that I'm just a prolific recorder) both with and without my band. It has been very productive, although I've decided to push the release of the album back about two weeks (sorry Billboard!!!).
Outside of that, I have been taking sparse amounts of time to relax and enjoy spending some money. I got sponsored by a few big-name companies (I can't say yet), but I've been enjoying some super-expensive equipment, which has been a lot of fun.
The new Twilight's Moon tagline: "Twilight's Moon: Transcending Genres." I love it!
Anyway, I have absolutely no time, but I am going to write within the next few days when things calm down, and I'll have Justin, my guitarist, write too.
Love,
-Brian
May 30, 2004 Edition 2, Entry 91

It's been an excellent week!
As you can see, the site is almost completely finished, and I am in love with the design! Look at the new photo gallery! Just amazing stuff.
"Mind Candy" was added to 48 radio stations this week! You know what that means... now we're really on the promotional cycle. I want to see it added to 250 stations by late-June. It's very possible, and this time around, we actually have a promotional budget, so things are possible! There's talk of a music video, but we'll see about all that. There will, of course, be a follow-up single that is a bit more hard rock within the next six weeks... this is a crucial period for the record.
Anyway, that's all for now. Talk to everyone soon!
Love,
-Brian
May 25, 2004 Edition 2, Entry 90

Hello after a long absence, and welcome to the new twilightsmoon.com!
I have decided to indefinitely archive my previous entries so that I can start fresh with this new site and new journal.
I have been in the studio, relentlessly recording, mixing, mastering, and remixing the title track for a literary magazine, "Mind Candy." In addition, I was commissioned to write five instrumental tracks for the disc, some of which were new ("Kelly"), and some that were pulled from previous albums ("Emergency Exit"'s "Possibilities"). I couldn't be more excited about the work that I did for this magazine. The song represents a new direction for me, a sexy brand of Adult Alternative that is both catchy and radio friendly. It's one of the best songs I've ever done.
So, to celebrate, we'll be selling copies of the single with the five instrumental tracks for a paltry $3.00 (plus a nominal shipping charge) to stir interest in the upcoming "Last of the Romantics" album, which is to be released July 20 (fingers crossed).
Before we set up the cgi-bin for the single, you can shoot an e-mail over to my management company at protocolrecords@verizon.net and they'll process the order for you manually.
I've got to get out of here, but I will write again soon. Also, for those of you who caught word, yes, there is someone in my life. Thank you for asking :-)
Love,
-Brian
