Travis and Ruth: Chores
Travis is put in an uncomfortable situation in that he lives on the couch in the living room of their Apartment. However, he does not like to work, similar to any child.
This situation is complicated, though, because Travis earns sympathy from others, such as Mama, because of his living quarters.
This causes tension because Ruth wants Travis to obey an order, but he is being encouraged not to from his Grandmother.
